My laughing pair!

Karis & Kelsie laughed in unison yesterday. It was SO precious! I was feeding them & had stopped to burp Kels. She was in my lap watching Karis, who was watching me. I faked a sneeze & every time I did, Kare got startled & laughed. Kelsie started laughing at her sister's reaction! It was so funny! They bring me such joy!

5 months old!

I can hardly believe it! I have had the pleasure of witnessing angels on earth! Karis & Kelsie are growing so beautifully and they bring me such joy!

Karis - You are a very happy baby. You enjoy conversation. Even when having your bottle, you like to pause, stare up at me with a smile and tell me how wonderful it is. You are a great sleeper! You love your exersaucer; you don't have a favorite toy because every toy/stuffed animal is your best friend. You kick your little legs and laugh when you're excited. You enjoy standing. You are sensitive to smells and often cry if you are being held by someone with strong perfume, if someone sprays bug spray near you, or even air freshener. You are usually fine with anyone holding you. You are starting to recognize the difference between familiar faces and strangers. You prefer infant oatmeal over rice cereal. You constantly roll from your back to your tummy. You are very patient.

Kelsie - You, like your sister, are a very happy girl. You're fascinated by new things and raise one eyebrow when perplexed. You are a Momma's girl, and rarely like being held by unfamiliar people. You are very verbal; weather happy or sad. You are a good eater; you eat anything & like the sensation of food in your mouth. You like to be awake and usually fight sleep. You have 2 favorite toys, your ball & butterfly rattle. You enjoy your swing. You often get frustrated when you can't do something. You stand/support your weight very well. You don't particularly like being on your tummy, even though it's necessary. Your favorite place to sit is in Daddy's recliner. You love grabbing your feet & sucking on your fingers!

Both girls - are over 14 lbs. They sleep til 8:30am. Due to their height, they're wearing 6 month + clothing. They do well in the nursery at church. They are looking more & more alike daily. They Love each other!

Alrighty Then...

A Knock at my door... I answer it holding Kelsie...A Salesman...
"Cute baby you have there. How old?"...
"SHE'S 4 months; I have another one JUST LIKE HER inside"(hoping he'd get the hint; no time to listen to his spiel)...
"Oh yeah? How old's that one?"...
"They're 4 MONTH OLD IDENTICAL TWIN GIRLS"...
"Oh, twins. Boy & Girl?"...
"NO, they are IDENTICAL TWIN GIRLS"...
"Oh, girls. Is that the boy?"...
"Uhhhhh..."
SERIOUSLY?!...HERE'S YOUR SIGN!!!
I was dumbfounded! Sure was funny!! :)

Recent Pictures

We took some family pictures and it was difficult to get a good shot. This is what we came up with...some good ones and some crazy candids...all keepers :)

Rice Cereal!

We introduced Karis & Kels to "food" today. I put it in parentheses because I tasted the rice cereal and it is a wonder how children survive on the stuff! Yuk! I know I am weird for trying it, but I was curious as to what I was putting in my children's mouths.
Here are pictures of the experience. Karis managed to stay fairly clean, the little lady, but Kels scarfed it up as fast as I could put the spoon to her mouth, making a mess of everything. :) And of course, Dad had to have a turn spoon feeding them too! Boy, did they enjoy it! Fun times!

Labor Day Commitments

There are a few things that I have decided to do. Starting tomorrow,  I will be diligently laboring to see these things come to fruition.

1) Begin working out every other day
2) Purposefully correspond with family & friends more often
3) Intentionally seeking others out & praying for their needs

Lord, help me stay true to these commitments.
