The appointment on the 24th went well! Baby A's heart rate is 155 and Baby B's is 142. We saw baby A's mouth & tongue moving on the ultrasound. It was as if the little one was trying to talk to us! It is also amazing getting to know their personalities now. A's my active one and B is usually pretty chill. They're usually most active in the evenings, starting around 8pm till Ian gets home. And, just like their Father, they enjoy sleeping in in the morning. I wonder how different things will be when they arrive. I'm so excited to meet them!!!

Ian and I want to have the twins c-section. We talked with Doctor Z about scheduling it and he said that would only be necessary if we reach 38 weeks (not likely). Otherwise, he will wait for me to go into labor anytime after 34 weeks and then take them c-section. The timing is all up to the Lord and the twins. Thankfully, bedrest hasn't been mentioned yet!! I'm still able to be on my feet for a while & get around, but I tire easily. I'm trying to heed advice and take advantage of as much sleep as possible. However, even when I do, it's broken sleep because I have to shift from side to side quite often due the pain in my hips. I'm up for a couple of hours and then nap for a couple hours. My mother-in-law blessed me with the gift of a housekeeper every 2 weeks. I can't imagine the piggy pen we'd live in without her help.

Please pray that I will continue to take it easy, so as not to go into preterm labor. We want them in there as long as possible. Thank you for your prayerful support! We 4 are doing very well! Won't be long now :)

30 weeks today!

Update:
- Only 5-6 more weeks before Parenthood.
- Babies are about 3 lbs each. We have an appointment tomorrow!
- Ian wants me to stay off the roads as much as possible. Wise, protective Fella! :)
- I am constantly sleepy. Naps have been my saving grace!

Praises:
- My cold is finally gone!
- It is snowing!

Prayer Requests:
- We had a bit of a scare yesterday...nothing major, but I was making Ian a lunch, looked down and noticed that 3 of my fingers were a beautiful shade of dark blue. They didn't hurt, but Ian made me lay down & call my nurse. She said that the twins were putting pressure on my veins/arteries which was preventing blood flow to my fingers. She said there was no cause for immediate concern, that I should lay down & try to reposition them, but if it persists, to go to the emergency room. It was really bizarre.
- I have a tendency to want to push the limits, in reference to the things I can & cannot do. Please pray that, for the twins sake, I will fight the feeling of being disabled and learn to relax & allow others to assist me. I would hate to go into preterm labor due to my own stubbornness.

Thank you for your continued prayerful support!!

Showers of Blessing!

My dear friends, Anna, Amanda, and Christine, threw an amazing baby shower for the twins & I on Saturday! You wouldn't believe all the diapers!! My honored guests were my Momma from Nevada, my Grandmother from California, my Sister-in-law from Oregon, and my Mother-in-law from St.Louis! I am so overwhelmed by the amount of love bestowed upon us! There are no perfect words to describe my gratitude, but I did the best I could in composing this poem, in hopes that you would know a fraction of my thanks. This is to all the gracious people involved in my life. Thank you so much for your continued prayer & support!

The Arms of my Angels

- Excitement within, don't know where to begin
I run back to the arms of my Angels
- Enjoying each moment, but scared by the task I'm sent
I run back to the arms of my Angels
- Emotions are flying and I feel like crying
I run back to the arms of my Angels
- Motherhood looming and body parts blooming
I run back to the arms of my Angels
- Chores overflowing and Twins keep on growing
I run back to the arms of my Angels
- Needing assistance with my sleepless infants
I run back to the arms of my Angels
- Oh who could they be that watch over me and shower me with so much love?
- Such women of Grace that are quick to embrace; I run back to your arms, My Dear Angels

Twin update

Ian and I saw our twins yesterday! They're weighing in at 2.5 lbs each. Baby A's heartrate is 151 bpm & Baby B's is 148 bpm. Doc is happy with the way things are going. He thinks they'll be here end of March/early April and wants to see us every 2 weeks from now on. We have less than 10 weeks left. It's amazing how fast this has gone by. I'm loving every minute!

I would appreciate your prayers over a couple of things. I caught a head cold and it's incredibly inconvenient because my Mom & Grandma are coming in to town tomorrow for my baby shower on Saturday. My other request is over a glucose (for diabetes) test I have to take on Tuesday. I didn't pass the first one, so I have to go take the 3 hour one Tuesday morning. Not looking forward to it. Thank you!!
